You can also bake cakes and biscuits, mull wine or just lie in bed or sit and look at the view.
Warm and comfortable
The house has great insulation and plenty of heating. There are eight heat pumps. Four on each floor.
When guests arrive these should have been running and set so the place is warm throughout. There is a simple guide on how to use them if this is not the case or a higher or lower ambient temperature is desired.
There is a gas-fired open fire in the formal lounge that is operated by “light” switches on the wall beside it.
The underfloor heating in the kitchen is on all winter. The indoor pool is fully heated for winter use. There is a spa pool and a spa bath to soak in. The drier works well and can dry footwear.
